BTGA Employee Spotlight

Aarti Kathuria

Aarti Kathuria, Project Manager/Architect, joined BTGA in 2021 after many years of working in Chicago, New York, and finally settling in Rhode Island where she earned a master’s degree from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Interior Architecture/Adaptive Reuse. Aarti is a K-12 Studio leader. Her work is focused on creating dynamic and inspiring spaces in our Educational sector, for both K-12 and Higher Ed projects. She gravitates toward design that transform existing spaces into modern, 21st-century learning environments.

Early in life Aarti knew she wanted to become an Architect, following in her father’s footsteps. She loves that architecture can elevate people’s lives–always keeping in mind that “for architecture and design, environment is very important, [and that you should] always choose your environment very consciously and then strive to enrich it.”

Aarti strives to always be a team player, believing that “Together Each Achieves More”. A quality we’re always looking for at BTGA!

BTGA isn’t all Aarti is passionate about. She teaches in the evening educating the next generation of students at RISD. You may also find her on the beach painting watercolors, making New England a pretty good fit for her. Aarti’s enthusiasm and drive is evident in every project from planning studies to adaptive reuse and new buildings.
