Johnson & Wales University

Since 2001, BTGA’s work at Johnson & Wales University has included renovation of three floors of 32 faculty offices, creating a new downtown security dispatch office in a historic storefront, designing their Center for Entrepreneurship – a Governor’s Center for Excellence program, renovating the campus Center for Career Development with two phased relocations of staff, and masonry restoration for four different brick, limestone, and terracotta buildings circa 1790, 1869, 1889, and 1924.

Faculty offices in Xavier Hall included extensive additional scope for IT wiring and was the only project that year on campus to open on time before the start of classes. Historic masonry restoration at Xavier Dormitory included full exterior assessment reports and budgeting prior to construction, phased over three summers. Our relationship with J&W is built on our ability to provide clear, well-documented reports, produce comprehensive working documents in a short time frame, and stay within budget.
