School of Engineering, Computer Sciences and Construction Management
Roger Williams University
BTGA was selected by Roger Williams University to design a new building for the School of Engineering, Computer Sciences and Construction Management. We began with an assessment of current and future spatial requirements, and then worked with the University to develop and evaluate solutions for potential programming and schematic options.
The final design creates a new identity for the School, and will allow space for the development of partnerships with public and private entities. The building will foster community through spaces to encourage collaborative learning, flexible interaction, and hands on experiences.
The SECCM program augments traditional didactic lectures with actual laboratory experiences ranging from traditional to experimental, group to individual, social to hands-on. The spaces developed will provide an educational experience that engages and satisfies the demands of the programs including room for large scale model building .
