Bryant University Warehouse Facilities Masterplan
Bryant University wanted to explore options for the relocation and consolidation of its Facilities Services Department. This project included the replacement of buildings and spaces that were beyond their servicable lives, occupied space on campus that had constrained growth, were severely limited in space, and were distributed across campus. Management, Administration, and the Trade Shops and Grounds Departments were all brought together in one location in order to improve inventory management, trade shops capabilities, and the efficiency of administrative efforts.
Simplicity and efficiency were paramount when configuring the layout of the new facility. All major access points are clearly visible when entering the site. Vehicle access ways and pedestrian walkways are clearly marked and separated. Within, each department is organized to promote interaction without disruption and wayfinding for vendors and visitors is easy. Overall, this clear and functional layout is ideal for long term durability and efficiency.
