The Town of Seekonk, MA has been a client for many years. Over the last decade, we’ve provided feasibility studies for their senior center, animal shelter, fire stations, and the Department of Public Works. The senior center was built in an old commercial space that once held a pool showroom and other local businesses. Our masterplanning efforts gave the Town the ability to expand into the adjacent two-story space if utilization of the senior center warranted future expansion. BTGA later designed the phase one renovations, built in 2016. By 2019, the senior center had become so popular that the Town began renovations to phase two. BTGA has continued to work with Seekonk to carefully plan the property around the town hall to develop a future campus for municipal usergroups, including the new animal shelter (built in 2019) and a future Parks building. We also aided the fire department to plan for a new station in an abandoned school down the street and develop a study locating new Department of Public Works buildings on an old landfill site.
